WHIHOO!!! Were in the yellow again, with almost enough points to fend off the knights! If they pass us lets make sure its not to stay that way for long.

Good job everyone, hope my 100 points a day help :)

Yep, we are.

I don't see a ton of points... where did that come from?

Good Job...

Well, the short burst is over, then. We're back down to Green :(

That was quite short.....how often does that happen.

Wow, we might actually take back our spot from the KWSN.

I hope my 800 points a week are helping, I jumped 300 points a week last week, the new WU's are faster (all gromacs and I can use SSE now instead of tinkers or 3DNow!)

hey, if we can regain ground on the knights that would be fantastic. It would be fun to do a little taunting on their forums for a change....

We've been having a great week, lets keep it going! :D

we should make a sticky thread that has our all time highs... per day and per week.

that way we will never forget, and also be motivated to beat it! :)

"I" didn't get a G5, but my department got a few... hrm, what was the code for that door ;).

You've really pulled something out of somewhere lately.

So what mysterious new power emanates from UC Davis these days? ;)

edit - And whoever this Khaldei guy is is whooping ass and taking names, too. :D

Well my two PCs at home seem to be dead as far as folding for whatever reason, but my roommate's HP laptop is folding away really well, so I am pulling in around 50-80 points a day with that. Our school just got brand new Dell Xeon XP Pro systems everywhere and a few new G5 and dual G4 systems, but unfortunately, I cannot use any of them. I cannot even imagine the kind of output from a few hundred Xeon systems...my god. If only the G5 would run the Client, I am sure those could be folding monsters with the kind of data crunching capabilities they have.

I knew that upgrading my PowerMac G3/400 to a G3/800 would help a lot. :D

OK, my guilty conscience has finally kicked in. How do I join the esteemed team 3446 and help save lives? (I know I can search old threads but I'm TOO L-A-Z-Y!)

shhhh....

can't tell. But it isn't a G5 for those wondering, but I plan to test them soon for myself ;).

and,

Yeah, Khaldei is doing REALLY well--glad to have another red runner in the game for our team . There were a few people with him when he started that were in the orange for awhile, I hope the others come back too.

Sadly, I had to take my dual 1ghz G4 at home off, because I'm at college, and my dad didn't want something running in the background all the time... Oh well...

So you can't fold in OS 9

I got al least 7 machines (just one PC..:D) running instantly...

Yeah I hate the fact that you can't fold on OS 9, it rules out my computer, too. I love my PowerBook to death, but it just does not run OS X fast enough to use everyday like it does under OS 9.

So I am now proudly running the console version of F@H - I understand that it runs in the background, but do I now need to set my iBook so it doesn't sleep so folding can occur? I suppose like other programs F@H will not run when the computer is sleeping. . .

That is correct, you must turn off sleep, for the computer at least.

Yeah, I reimaged my PC lab today mostly thanks to the today's Windows RPCDCOM patch, so we'll see a spike when they cash in and then back to normal output. :)

I had to do that on a small scale for now... manually did a bunch because I'm setting up a new domain and didn't feel like making a new image for everybody till that is setup--I've got a rogue bad hub somewhere in the lab that slows multicasting down to a crawl (but not individual connections) as well.
