Want to get started on switching to Mac, but I want something cheap just for light use, maybe just to use for a 2nd computer. My budget is about £200, but at the moment I'm just looking.
Anyone got any good recommendations?
Thanks:)

Nope. But have done a few other similar threads looking for Macs here!
I was looking at an G4 eMac or an iBook G3. Are they any good?

You may want to look at Apple's refurbished store. The macs wont be very cheap but you'd get warranty.

Apple refurb is a bit too much for me I think. I was just looking for something cheap to put in my bedroom, for just schoolwork/ general internet and music stuff, and buy it from here or ebay.

Well you could get lucky on here, for example the other day someone was offering a mac mini on here for £275.

No..But I've got an Emachines PC:eek:
I would like an iBook G3, the dual USB ones look nice, but are they any good? I dont think that I have G4 money though.

If anyone has a working DC In board for an iBook G4, tell me, I may want to buy one. A mate has a dead iBook that worked perfectly until the battery ran out, and now it wont take a charge, which kinda tells me it isnt the Logic.

That sounds good. Not really looking to buy at the moment, although if I do, it'll be in that price range.

I have spent a lot of money coverting to MAC and I have a G5 Quad as my main computer which are great if can afford one.
The cheapest option thought is to find a MAC mini, particully if it does not need to do anything to stressing :).
My work place has just invested in a MAC mini as a testing station and we found it to be the cheapest solution for getting a MAC into the office so can test client websites in Safari. We brought it from an Apple store for just short of £300 but if you shop around or look on ebay you might be able to get one within your £200 budget.
Hope this is of some help :)
