iPod touch timeout detected...

when i try to connect to my ipod with filezilla, it says timeout detected, what does that mean?is there any other good ssh client i can used to make my apps work?
 
i just cant connect to any ssh ftp server i know. what the problem. i read everything but it doesnt conect...any solutions?
 
I know one tutorial said specifically "Don't use FileZilla, it won't work." I'm on a Mac and used Cyberduck, which worked fine for me.
