iPod touch Default Icons for SummerBoard

Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere that I missed...

Where can I find the default icons that come with the ipod? Haven't had any luck locating them in the file structure.

they should be in each application's folder withe the name icon.png
 
Aha. Got them. Thanks. Now, how do I open them? Someone on another thread said I need to unlock them but neglected to say how. They don't show up as locked in file properties (I am on a mac).

Thanks for the help.
