Hi, I use Mozilla Songbird calendar application which can export .ics format files. I would like to import this file to iPod Touch calendar application instead of sync with Outlook.

Does anyone know if it is possible just to copy the .ics file to iPod and read/import it with Calendar?

tks

Free bump because I was going to ask the same question.

I wrote a program to sync my google calendar with my 4th gen iPod, but the Touch doesn't store the calendar as an ics file, it's stored as an sqlitedb file....and I don't know how to convert to that.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and the fact that the Touch disabled disk mode doesn't help any...

Close, but no cigar....

From: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/faq.html
What is the file format for Sunbird or Lightning?

Sunbird/Lightning uses a SQL-based storage mechanism based on SQLite. Local calendar files have the file suffix .sdb and can be found in the profile directory.

That's the same format the Touch stores its calendar in!

Well, that would be too perfect, wouldn't it....same database format, but completely different schemas.

So until someone with more time on their hands than me maps the Touch's schema and writes a little translation program, it seems you are out of luck.

This program worked nicely to browse SQLite files BTW:
