I currently have alot of album art synced to my music on my ipod touch. I'm wondering if i can back it up, so if I reset my ipod, i wouldn't have to connect the music with album art again. Thanks.

when you sync it back to itunes, wouldnt it transfer it accross?
In fact, even when i deleted my entire itunes library and then re-created it, my album art was there!

album art can be put in a mp3's ide tag or if you dl via itunes, it is puts it some itunes folder. dunno which one though.

So if you del all the songs in the library.. and readd them.. you will see all ur album art, however if you format, without backing up itunes system files/folders etc, and reinstall itunes and add the mp3s, you will only see the art that is in the ide tags.
