quark 7 – printing postscript files later distilling

Hello there

I am having trouble printing postscript files to anywhere other than the root of the start up drive with qx7.

Does anyone know of a fix so that I can print to another specified folder?

Sounds like a permissions problem although I've noticed there's also a tendency to choke on long file names.

How are you printing them? Exporting postscript through Quark's Export to PDF feature? Or printing ps files using Adobe PDF as PPD and printer?

I thought it might be a permissions thing, but I fixed them and still get the problem.

I am printing with Adobe PDF 8.0 as printer and PPD

but your question just prompted me to try it using the Xerox phaser as the printer and Adobe PDF 8.0 as the PPD – this method seems to work, it generates a .ps where I like and not just in root.

very confusing!
