Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a good torrent or p2p that is mac friendly with good rates of download
 
I use Transmission for all my torrents. It is less resource-intensive than other programs, and the latest versions allow you to select which files to download from a particular torrent (finally!!).

I've never used Xtorrent, though.
