The purpose of this thread is to share some other ways on saving on mac purchases other than a standard price discount.
For instance, in Canada, if you have airmiles, you can buy from Apple by first going through http://www.airmilesshops.ca/ and you'll get one airmile for every $20 you spend. On a $1500 iMac, that's 75 airmiles.
