I have a Powerbook G4 1.5.

I just bought a Western Digital 1TB External HD triple interface.

I am using the FW 800 connection.

It seems that when I have this hooked up and have been accessing data, I can't use my FW 400 port. I plugged in my video vamera to load video into IMovie, and it would not recognize the video camera. When i unplugged the drive, then the camera came up.

Then when i tried to plug the drive back in, it wouldn't recognize that. But once I unplugged the cable from the camera, the drive mounted.

Any thoughts or things I should try?

Is the hard drive bus powered or does it have a power supply? Sounds like an excessive drain on bus power....
