Mail Attachments

If I recieve an email with an attachment - say 4 mb photo, what happens if I try to open it on my PDAiPodTouch? Does it get stored on the pod - if so how can I delete it as I don't want to use up valuable disk space?

it stays as an attachment so you can just delete the email.
