iPhone just updated to version 1.1.1 and wont restore? HELP

All of a sudden my iPhone is showing a very wierd picture on it.... I just updated to version 1.1.1 and now it shows an iphone connector cord popping up and and arrow point to an iTunes symbol.

I connect it to itunes and it says it must restore but just ends up going back to the funny picture?

Any ideas as to what is happening?

I PRAY to god you were not stupid to update after ever unlocking it... did you?

If not, then take it back to Apple. It sounds like the phone may be bad. Or try deleting the 1.1.1 upgrade image from the iTunes directory. It will download a new one, maybe the image is corrupt.
