I am going to be buying a 24" iMac on the 26th. As you know, it ships with 2gb (2x1gb) of RAM. I currently own a 15" 2.16 Intel Core duo MBP w/ 1gb (1x1gb) of Ram. What I am wanting to do is order 4gb (2x2gb) from Crucial for the iMac. I want to take the 4gbs of RAm from Crucial and put it into the iMac which would free up the 2gb of RAm that it shipped with. I would then take one of the 1bg sticks from the iMac and slap it into my MBP to bring the MBP up to 2 gb of RAM. Can I do this or are we talking about different types of RAM? Have I written this question so that it makes sense? Thanks in advance
