I'm running BootCamp on my 20" iMac and I just happened to notice several "updates" for my graphics card. My question is simple and twofold: Is it safe to download and install the most recent driver(s); and, should I do an install on the Mac OS side and then seperately on the Windows partion?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You will not be able to update your Graphics driver on the OSX side - that is all handled automatically through Software Update.

As for the Boot Camp side, go ahead and update as you wish - you'll probably have to do it manually through Control Panel as the update packages don't seem to work all that well...

How exactly does that work?

The ATI installation package will unpack the file, but it will not install it due to not recognizing the hardware. You have to use the "update driver" button on the Device Manager page for the display adapter and browse to where the files were unpacked - usually C:/ATI

I think it's safe... I always use the Omega Drivers anyway, and they haven't gotten me into any trouble.
