This game is as addictive as crack. Makes me want to go out and buy Guitar Hero. Anyone else find it addictive?

and when you "create a new beat" nothing happens

yes

Good it's not just me who finds it awesome. I mean with the multitouch screen you can hit multiple stings so it feels so very much like guitar hero. I love this game. :D

:P I take you haven't played guitar hero or dance dance revolution. Boy are you missing out. When the colored star hits the line, tap the screen. :P Simple.

Well either above or below the string you want to play. If that makes sense at all. :p

How do you delete downloaded tracks?

Ok in cyberduck (or any file browser):
Go to: /private/var/root/Media/TTR/Music.
delete the song you want. Simple. :o

Thank you very much. I don't have access to my iPod (no wifi at home) here, so I have to make sure I can do everything I want in the one hour period when I do have access. :)

To find the "Tap Tap" part of the songs, you need to be online to download from the database. If you download songs previously, you can save them (ones not under your library are under downloaded). I think you can save ones you already played to the folder indicated above for downloaded tracks, so you can play your own library offline, but I'm not too sure about that.

I don't know how people find that game addictive (PC, Touch or otherwise). I mean I can see myself playing it, but I'd get bored very easily. Maybe I just demand games with nice graphics :P

How do you actually download the TTR tap songs to said Touch? I can play tracks when online, but I want to download into the download section on the menu, so i can play them offline.

From everything I've tried, TTR is great fun only if you have a wifi connection active. Otherwise, it just takes up space on my springboard :(

Uh, you just go to new tracks (with wifi enabled), download a song by clicking on it and then go to downloaded songs (wifi disabled). The downloaded songs should be there and playable offline.

Yes, it works, but the songs I want to download aren't from the songs I have in my iTunes library. Any way to download/upload the *.tap files into my iPod Touch instead of the songs displayed only in the "New Track" option?

A girl I dated once left me for a DDR champ. I didn't notice for a week, because I was too busy laughing.

Somehow, playing would feel like I was betraying his memory. Poor little guy, so full of hope.

If you don't have an xbox/ps and can't wait for guitar hero for the mac then you guys might want to check out StepMania (www.stepmania.com/)

edit: i do relize that this doesn't exactly relate to iPods, but i thought it might make some people happy

Stepmania isn't available for the Touch.

Stepmania is available for the Touch.

Is it really now...? It doesn't seem to be available on their website. And based on that, I doubt its in the CVS tree...

On my touch, the downloaded tracks just play, but don't show the beats on the screen, is there something else you need to do? I installed using installer.app

My bad - I meant to say "isn't". My spelling has been awfull of late :(

Anyway, I know how to download the default stuff in TTR. I was asking if it is possible to download the ttr files used for custom songs in my music library. Doesn't seem like there's an option, or way to do so right now - so I stand by my statement that TTR is only a worth using if you have a wireless connection on an iPod touch.

I think it just worked for me, I created one for "The No Seatbelt Song" by brand new, and I am pretty sure I just played it lol..

I think it is basically a game of chance when it comes to creating beats... I will continue to try though, lol

Rofl! "Now, Guitar Hero, play Hangar 18 on Expert mode! Nothing can survive that attack." Omg that's so great. :D That song took me like 50 tries to beat, it was so frustrating!

this game could be so much better.

if the creater would release a new version where creating beats would work i would keep it on my touch.

also, it always crashes whenever i try to play songs from my own library, i just have to download one of the random ones... it worked at first but hasnt for a while.

you can actually get songs you make to work offline. first you need finder, which you can download from installer. all your ttr beats are located in var/root/media/ttr/taps and your files will be under the iTunes folder. whatever songs you plan on adding you need to rename so that it is the same name as the song file. for example, Sum 41 - With me.tap. Then you move that file to the taps folder where the other downloaded songs are. Then find the song file. one way to get it is through drop copy, which you need on your computer and ipod those files appear in var/root/media/dropcopy. make sure the song file is the same name as the tap file and move it into the ~/media/ttr/music folder. and there you go! you can now play your own songs offline. All of the songs appear under downloaded tracks in ttr. hope this helps everyone! :)

Yeah it is really buggy, it's the only app that's caused me to crash my iPod (freeze it totally), but it's for me the best game on the touch so I just take it as it is. Can't expect perfection without a real SDK I suppose.

I love this game so much, I've created taps for at least 5 songs since I downloaded it yesterday. I only wish there were more features like a most played list, and the ability to rate the taps and then remove poorly done ones. I'd also like to be able to view my own taps and delete the one that I poorly did and accidentally finished.
