How do I put leopard on one partition and tiger on another?

you would have to partition your hard drive first, which there is more than one way to do that.

one way would be when you startup from either the Leopard or Tiger disk, and go to disk utility, and partition it from there. you will lose everything on the drive though. then install one, and then install the other on the other partition

How do I put leopard on one partition and tiger on another?


1a) Clone your HD using either Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner IF you want to preserve the apps and data on your Mac. You will need a 2nd HD for this, external or internal.

1b) once your clone is finished boot from it to make sure it works.

2) insert the OS X DVD while booted on your clone OR boot from the OS X CD

3) Use Disk Utility and make two partitions, one for 10.5 and one for 10.4. Adjust the respective partition sizes to your needs.

4) Use Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner to copy back to the new 10.4 partition.

5) When you get 10.5 install it on the 10.5 partition.

Done.

Also, what is the minimum amount of space for a bare tiger install to run well?
