Kodawarisan link (http://www.kodawarisan.com/ug/)

Kodawarisan posted that a G5 powerbook was brought into a Taiwanese manufacturer. It's a prototype 17" G5 powerbook, with the mesh aluminum (like over the speakers in the G4 PB) being expanded to the palm rest area as well as to the bottom casing, sharing a similar design as the G5 PowerMac.

Take with a grain of salt, as Kodawarisan is not the most reliable source of rumors, but let the wild speculations begin! :D

[edit] i just realized that it's not much of a rumor... it's kind of logical that any G5 PB would try to emulate the design of G5 PM..? [\edit]

... with mesh aluminium expanded to over the palm rests? that would get messy real quick. that's a prime area for all sorts of gunk to get stuck in there.

based on that (and the fact that i can't beleive Apple would ever do anything like that) i would have to say that this rumor is... false!!

one things for sure... Kodwarisan sure puts out some interesting rumors. :p
