Recently purchased a Mercury Elite Pro external and it was great... for a week. This thing just beach balls now. I cannot open any files on the drive. My Finder crashes when I try. Sometimes the thing doesn't mount. I have tried using the SpeedTools Utilites that came on the CD and when I try to defrag or anything, it beach balls.
Help Please?
I have the feeling this is a defective unit. So damn frustrating because I purchased this unit to avoid the loss of my important files. Ha ha the joke is on me.:mad:
