iTunes Music Share

iTunes says it will "stream" music from computers on the same LAN. But when I share the music and then try to play it from another computer it just sits there searching for about 45 seconds and then gives up. Both computers are on the same 802.11b network, I can file share files between them fine but not over iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

You might see if that port was blocked.

If so open it (un-filter access)

Or Get one of that iTunes worldwide share apps.

Yeah you need to make sure that the rendezvous port it open. It is 5298.

Ok silly queestion maybe but how would I make sure that port is open. I can do it on a PC but on a mac a little guidance would help.
