View Full Version : log into IPT with Putty, but all commands "not found" - what the hell?

I can ftp into the touch thru WinSCP and copy/erase files, but when I use Putty, I can log in, get to the # prompt, but every command results in a "not found", I typed 'mv', and get 'mv: not found', can anybody help?

You need the BSD subsystem installed to do UNIX commands.

Some installs of the BSD system for the ipod it may place the commands in the /bin directory. On my when i want to use one of the commands i have to make sure that i have /bin before all the commands.

reinstalling BSD system worked, strange because it worked before, i don't know why i had to reinstall it...
