Hi guys,

I'm a new user in MAC OS X and I want to know how can I run commands in the OS X like we run in windows XP with the run option from the start menu.

And by the way how can I format a pen drive or my HD. There is some command similar to that in the XP??

Thnkx

You can use the Disk Utility. While in a finder window, click on "Go" in the menu bar, and choose Utilities, then open disk utility. It will let you format disks. Find the disk on the left, and then choose the "Erase" tab to format it for Mac/

As far as the "Run" equivalent in OSX, I'm not sure if there really is anything that could compare. You can run commands in Terminal, but thats more like MS-DOS command prompt.
