need help with contacts

I somehow lost all my contacts while syncing my iphone, i should have them on a backup device, where should i put the contact files in my finder so that they will work
 
Don't you use the Address Book? Just do a backup every once in a while.

Even better, if you have .Mac you can just sync all your contacts automatically to .Mac.
