So is archive and install sort of like upgrade but it does a fresh install and imports your old settings so it looks normal? How much longer does it take?

It took an hour on my machine and I had over 140Gb of data on my 250Gb drive. Very smooth, no issue so far. 🙂

Its worth it. You get a folder with all of your old system files in it, so if anything goes awry, you can get it back. if everything's okay, you can just delete it!

how do you get it back? so you could go back to tiger?

I'm kind of wondering also. I'm thinking about backing up all my data on a external HD and make a bootable partition of Tiger on it also.

Is it worth doing all that or should I just archive and install?
