First of all, it took 90 minutes to install.. on a 17" MBP.

So, once I got past that, it seems like Tiger restarted much more quickly than Leopard. I get a blue screen for almost 20 seconds before it brings up the log in options. And then, once I get in there, applications are running really slowly.. esp. Photoshop. iTunes took its sweet time coming up too.

Anyone else see this? Is it temporary while the OS adjusts itself?

I'm sure its just re-indexing Spotlight and the like. Give it a few hours to sort itself out.

This is normal for a first boot of any Mac OS X install. Restart again, and it'll come up much more quickly. Also, it's completely normal for applications to take a while to launch the first time after a restart on any Mac OS X version.
