I did an "Erase and Install" on my iMac yesterday so I could "start new" again. I backed up all my music on an external HD and imported it all back into iTunes after the install was complete.
I've synced my iPhone's Info, Pictures and Mail to my new system, but I am afraid to do music because I imagine it's going to erase all my existing music.
Is it possible for me to maintain my current play counts and ratings, or will I have to start all over again when I initially sync to iTunes?
Is there a workaround?
EDIT: I also have my iTunes Database file backed up from my Tiger system...Not sure if that can be leveraged to solve this problem.
