iPod touch New touch: what things in what order?

Hi,
I'm finally getting my iPod Touch next week, so I simply want reccomendations on what to do first.

Obviously I need to play around with it a bit first and check so everything seems to work ok.

1. I've bought a skin at bestskinsever and need to install it. I'm thinking of only installing the backside at first.
2. I will jailbreak my touch and
3. Install some apps.

So, should I start with the bestskinsever installation before jailbreaking it or should I wait until everything works fine?

Is there something else I've missed?
