The forums on here I visit most are the gaming ones, the programming one, and the marketplace. But for some reason, only my programming posts are counting (along with the main rumors forum) They used to count everywhere but on politics etc.

Is this on purpose? If so it kind of sucks. If not something is wrong. ;)

Console games and market place posts don't count do to spamming.

Yes, that's correct.

It's also mentioned in the FAQ (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:MacRumors_FAQ#I_think_that_my_post_count_is_wrong) because the same question comes up now and then.
