Use another Mac as a backup drive?

Hi

I have a MacBook and an iMac. I'd like to use the iMac as my Time Machine backup drive.

Is this possible? Would it require me manually starting it in Target Mode every time?

Or um, is there a better solution?

Thanks in advance for any solutions.
