no wikipedia in dictionary widget

my macbook has wikipedia in my dictionary app but no wikipedia in dictionary widget for the dashboard. is this how it is supposed to be?

Yeah, that's how it's supposed to be. Wikipedia is a feature exclusive to the Dictionary application in Leopard... not the widget.
