What should I use to record live music??

I work at a church and we wan't to record the band and sermons. We have a older 700mhz g3 imac and a 667 ti. I was wondering if it would be better to get a board w/ a burner on it or get some sort of midi "thing" for the macs???? What would be better we are getting the bravo cd dup. (http://primera.com) to make the copys??? any idea's out there?? I am alright w/ mac and video editing but not to much up on the audio recording.

there are a ton of options out there. firwire, usb, PCI, etc. i'd start with a basic mixer, depending on how many instruments are involved and then start thinking about a good interface and some mics, etc. send me a PM if you want to talk more about it. i can help you come up with a good setup.:)
