Motion templates won't play back in FCP6 after Leopard install

I recently noticed that when I load motion templates straight from the FCP effects tab, they don't play. Once I load them in the viewer, the title of the animation shows up at the top of the viewer window but when I play, all I see is black. Also, when I change settings or move an animation file that i've placed in the timeline of a project before Leopard, they disappear. WTF?

Was there a software patch update for FCS2 after the Leopard install? If not, there will probably be one on it's way to fix any bugs. I would think something would come out from Apple within a few weeks to fix any bugs with there programs working with Leopard.
