Has rosetta been improved with Leopard? Also does you macbook/mbp get hotter than it used to under leopard?

I think it runs cooler, and rosetta runs faster.
It could just be that it's a fresh install of the OS however.

Do I have to update Tiger to 10.4.10 or could I still upgrade/archive & install with 10.4.9?

No need to go to 10.4.10. Archive and Install at will.
