iPod touch Broken headphone jack?

I'm assuming you've pushed the jack right into the headphone socket so that you can't see any of the jack connectors of the jack sticking out? (I know, an insult to your intelligence

I jammed the headphone jack in, and now its working again, I will monitor it for a few more days and then decide what to do. Thanks
