How much space should a partition have to run just Tiger effectively?

On my PB G4, my Tiger partition is only 8 GB. Runs well enough (~ 1 GB free)

I wouldn't go with less than 10. Be sure to remove all the extra languages, x code tools, extra fonts, and printer drivers.

what airforce said, remove by doing a custom install. For the voices, go into your system library after the install.
