OK not to backup iTunes folder in Time Machine?

Does anyone think there would be a problem if I had to do a System restore if I had excluded my iTunes folder from the back up?

I shouldn't have thought so, you just wont have a backup of your iTunes. I'm guessing you manually back that up?

Yeh I will manually back it up - just thought it would save me 47gb!

I'm doing the same. iTunes is backed up to the file server, TM does everything else.

Shouldn't be any problems. 🙂

What about the system folder and system library?
I am trying to completely erase my computer and start from scratch. I would only like to keep my user folder. Can I do this?

^ yes but you can only manually restore files. you cannot restore your system or use Migration Assistant.
