old performa OS8

was havin problems today in a customers with an OLD mac :mad:

performa running 0s8
and a G3 on 8.6

problem being filesharing...... the performa can see the G3 ok in the chooser, but when connected to it it sloooooows way down :confused:

also the g3 is unable to see the performa in the chooser :(

file sharing is enabled on both machines ok but i aint seen os8 in such a long time i cant remember whats missing !!?!!

any ideas folks.......

Make sure the hard drive on the Performa is being shared. I think you go to the File menu, then Sharing.... Make sure "Share this item and its contents" is checked. I can't guarantee that will work, but it might.
