My music library is on a secondary hard drive. I just purchased Leopard and thought it was a good time to clean up my boot drive so I did a reformat and a clean install of Leopard. Now I want to setup itunes to treat my music library as the itunes folder. I want to have the option enabled to have itunes update my itunes library and am not sure how to associate the music location with itunes without erasing my music library. If someone can lead me through the steps of accomplishing this it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

iTunes will never delete what files are already there. In fact, if you didn't back up your previous iTunes library database, it's empty anyway, right? Just set iTunes to use the folder with all your music on your external, allow it to copy items there and keep it organized, and then just add all the files that are there. Mission accomplished.
