Is there any way to turn coverflow off?

i don't want to be a debbie downer here, coverflow on ipod touch is great

but...

I went on a field trip yesterday and on the bus, every time i would look at my ipod to change the song, it would get confused and flip the screen back and forth plus you can't adjust the volume in coverflow. I just want adjust the volume or do some other task with out the accelerometer fliping out.

I think the caj is talking about an iPod touch, not an iPhone. It looks like he mistakenly put it in the wrong subject area. I'm sure a moderator will move it to the iPod Touch forum in not time!

I'd like to know too, but for the iphone. Coverflow is cool for showing someone your shiney new iphone, but honestly - its totally useless. I wouldn't ever use it if I had the choice.
