This is a photo of my friend Brandon that I shot over a year ago. Always really liked it for the angle and also just for how easy the spot was to make for us to ride. This was shot with a Nikon D70 body, Nikkor 70-300mm lens, used a Nikon SB-800 speedlight off camera triggered with Pocket Wizards.

The light is nice, but the comp is a bit cluttered and the crop is too tight on the top edge. Nevertheless, the action was caught nicely...

Yeah, the elbow flying up caght me off gaurd. I considering asking him to reshoot, but it didn't bother me like I thought it would. Here is a different angle.

Yikes. #2 is a much better composition, but #1 has nicer light and peak action. They're great shots, and if you like them, that's what matters.
