Get Rid of List view stripes in the Finder (10.5)

$ defaults write com.apple.finder FXListViewStripes -bool FALSE
$ killall Finder

Type that in the Finder. I found this via www.macosxhints.com and am so happy. Those stripes were bothering me big time.

I don't recall Tiger having them. How did you live then? Are you a ghost?

just changed it, thanks for the command.

much better now. Those stripes were killing me.
