I have a 160GB ATA 100 drive at the moment. 5400rpm. I've searched but is there anything that can top it, or is ATA development dead?

250GB ATA-6 drive at Newegg. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136159)*

* I have no clue about putting it in a PowerBook. I neither condone nor suggest any such activity and as a result cannot be held liable. But I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night...

Nice work, thanks, I've just found it at a shop here for a little bit more, but could definitely be worth it. I swapped out the current 160GB one so wouldn't hold you liable ;)

The only thing you're increasing is drive size though. Your platters are still spinning at 5400 RPM.
