Wow, Jobs thinks that he can make twice as much than the previous deal and he also says he'd like to stay with Disney....the only thing is, will Disney take the deal?

I can't imagine that Pixar is hurting for the money, far from it. If they did start making more on their movies, it would just allow them to hire more people, get faster computers and end up making more movies ;)

So they'd even make more money....I just hope it all works out so we can look forward to many more fantastic Pixar movies...

Pixar doesn't need Disnet, but Disney needs Pixar.

I'm pulling for Pixar in this case, they fully deserve what they're asking for. Disney wouldn't have the hits they've had without Pixar.

I think we've already seen some rumblings of this, but I didn't know that Jobs owned 55% of Pixar. Incredible.

I'm hoping Disney and Pixar end up playing nice, but I agree that Pixar is in a great position to get a bigger slice of the pie, and should rightfully do so.

This is good.

Distribution companies should provide distribution, not grab 50% ownership.

Though the film has already opened in Latin America it has yet to play in Pixar’s two biggest international markets, with the UK run set to open in October and Japan in November. Home video revenues and other income could turn Finding Nemo into a $ 1bn-plus success.

1 Billion for one movie, an animated Kids (even though I liked it) movie!

Wow... and steve owns a large percentage of Pixar and apple, why would he be the chairman otherwise?

:p
