View Full Version : Forums Moved to New Servers
Hi all,
The forums have been moved to new servers. There will likely be some glitches. We are also in the process of moving other sites (guides, macbytes) to the new servers... so there may be some issues.
If you notice specifically issues with the forums themselves. please post here.

I'm getting some errors that weren't present before the switch. I treid to attach some screen shots but a when i pressed the upload button i was greeted with a login screen.
To view this page, you need to log in to area "test" on att.macrumors.com:80.
Edit: BTW the errors are mainly to do with weird text dispaly such as usernames appearing with all characters piled on top of each other. And "Upload File from your Computer" nows displays as "Up/sadfF /efdisc fysRiCsc pr.ei" which oddly enough when copied and pasted into the write post text box is converted back to english.

Already reset my safari, was the first thing i tried.
In case anyone is wondering i'm using Safari 3.0.4 in Leopard by erase and install.
The only change i made to my computer since it was offline was replacing libcrypto.0.9.dylib to the universal verison that was in Tiger (a Leopard bug where it is only compiled as PPC)
let's give it another try...

if anyone else has weird character rendering issues, let me know. It might be isolated to xUKHCx. (you don't have to reply if it's working fine for you :) )

Is everything o.k. now?
Short answer yes
long answer it took a reboot, then a second so i could get online (thanks to leopard bug). Then found safari was fubar. To to my Time Machine backup to get Safari from there. Still fubar. The pop the installer DVD in but my superdrive has intermittent problems. So after 5 goes ejecting the disk, it finally takes then I managed to install Safari.

The Guides give me a database error when searching:
MySQL returned error "145: Table './idb_wikidb/searchindex' is marked as crashed and should be repaired (74.86.39.122)"
I also have the same issue as Nermal related to the time (we're in the same time zone). I think it's a bug in vBulletin; it's a recurring problem that occurs about twice a year when time zones change in the US, but it seems to fix itself after a day or two.

It seems like getting into a thread or forum is okay, it's when I back up when I see the lag. Could be coincidence. But yes, I just had a major wait, but it did finally come back.
