Large Threads Split into 'Part 2'

I've started splitting long threads (>1000-2000 posts) into "Part 2" threads. At the moment there's no hard/fast rule, but certainly perpetual threads will be split. Meanwhile, news threads that tend to have a self-imposed life span we'll let ride.

The reason is that threads this long may be contributing to database locks / stalls.

The inconvenience will be temporary, and this will benefit all of us.

If you have subscriptions to threads that have been continued into other threads, be sure to update your subscriptions.
