I have decided I want to get a powerbook as I have always wanted one. I need one with good battery life.

I'll trade my MacBook (unmarked as new CD MacBook 1.83GHz with 2GB RAM and either 60GB HDD or 160GB HDD depending on offer) for a high quality PowerBook 12" and either cash or extras.

For software - give me a few days to dig out licenses. I can include the original install disks (10.4) and I also have a license for EyeTV that I will include in the sale. All others I will have to dig out and see what can be done.

A clean install would probably be best, so I will upgrade to 10.4.10 as I think that would be a good starting point

Unless I get any great offers, I won't bother - but I thought I would throw it out there.

Darn, too bad you're in the UK. I was going to give my mom my old 12" PB but I would prefer to give her a Macbook. I'm not sure how smart it would be to try doing a transaction overseas, but my PB is 1.5 Ghz with a 60GB hard drive and combo drive. The hard drive is being a bit weird, though, so I am planning on swapping it out with a 120GB HD pretty soon.

The only problem with overseas is the cost of postage - about $100 perhaps.

I'm holding out a little bit at the moment. I love the 12" style, but the MacBook is so fast... I don't know if going backwards would be a good idea.

I too am overseas, though closest possible (St. John's, Newfoundland). I have a 1.5 12" Superdrive powerbook with 512 ram id love to trade with you. Let me know if the deal can be done, thanks.

I have the same specs as the person above. Mine has leopard running on it right now, I'd be willing to do a deal as well.

All deals off at the moment. I changed my mind. I would now like a 17" MBP. I offer the MacBook and cash.

I can only use one system really. I do a lot of travelling and the 17" screen seems to have the same res as my 20" ACD - something which I have grown attached to.

I am strong enough to carry a 17" MBP around, so I have decided that however cute a 12" Powerbook is, it can't be my main machine. :)

Good choice. Now if Apple could just invent a portable with the screen real estate of the 17" and the portability of the 12" they would make a lot of people happy...
