Hey everyone, back from a bit of a leave of abscense from the site :) (big project at work followed by exams :) )
Anyway the BBC has an interesting op-ed piece about how the american admin seems to have moved seemlessly from WMD to Iraq being the front for the war on terror
Bush seeks his Kennedy moment (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3089590.stm)
All in all nothing new, but an interesting read nonetheless
Also how much coverage did the American killing of nine Iraqi security officers get in the States?
US remorse over Iraq deaths blunder (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3105574.stm)
What is the perception in the US about Iraq, is it slipping out of the foreground with the warm fuzzy feeling of victory followed by inevitable neglect or is there a perception that things are at best not getting any better?
Are people buying the 'Iraq was invaded as a front for the war on terror' line? Especially given that the supposed link between Iraq and terrorism was hardly made and was by far the weakest and most tenuous argument made for the war?
