Leopard Codecs?

Are there any working codec packs for leopard and intel processors? Having "some" difficulty with movie downloads (no not porn!... ok maybe some).

Perian comes to mind. What about VLC Player. Both of those should work (though I can't confirm).

I have not yet come across a file (ok, except realmedia) that VLC could not play. And, 99% of those files can be played in Quicktime with Perian.

Notably, MKV is not very Quicktime friendly. They will play, but they are smoother in VLC. Really the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that is like that.

Perian works in Leopard, as well as VLC, though you will need a newer build in order to use the remote from this thread: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=41503

It depends on what filetype the media in question is. Some stuff VirtualHub can convert (again with the right library installed, website has instructions), from there you just mass convert whatever and watch 'n play. :)

Haha, no not really, and i did say that I wasn't counting realmedia files. I abhor realmedia files... just a personal opinion really. I prefer to stick with AVI, MKV, and MP4

btw. there is a new beta in the vlc forums (OS X) that supports the apple remote if anyone didn't know yet.
