Printing Problems

Ok this is driving me nuts. I have a samsung ML-1710 B&W laser. It will print fine if the paper size is set to letter, If it is set to #10 envelope it will print everything in light grey. Most of the other paper sizes seem to print fine (I havent tried every one of them). Even a custom paper size setup to #10 envelope size prints grey. It does this in both Safari and Pages.

Any Ideas before I throw this printer out the window????

Have you tried downloading and re-installing the printer driver (http://www.samsung.com/za/support/productsupport/download/Model_Select2.aspx?type=&subtype=Discontinued+Products&model=ML%2D1710P&fileType=DR&LSSI=%2FZA%2Fmodule%2Fssi%2Fleft%2Flmenu%5Fprinter%5Fdiscontinuedproducts%2Esec&RSSI=%2Fza%2Fmodule%2Fssi%2Fright%2Frmenu%5Fprinter%2Esec)?

If that doesn't work, you can always cart it off to a deserted field and beat it with a baseball bat.

Yes I have re-installed the drivers. It prints fine if I use a letter size page and space the margins so that it prints on an envelope as it should, But when the paper size is set to #10, it prints grey still. very frustrating, I've burned about 50 pages through it trying to figure it out.
