Hey guys.

I upgraded to leopard the day it came out and I've had no problems until now.

I booted up today and when I opened dashboard, all my widgets were gone.

I try to re-add them, and dashboard simply closes and doesn't add anything.

Ideas?

Try restarting, and repairing disk permissions (in Disk Utility)

I tried both sadly. no luck.

I checked through the apple site and found nothing on it. there's no pref file to reset for dashboard. hm...

do you use .Mac?

That erased my widgets.

come to think of it I had just chosen to sync my widgets to .mac...

I unchecked that one and it's still not accepting them back on.

are you still having this problem or do you have a fix?

in case anyone comes across this problem themselves I found a fix-

I created a new user on my mbp. widgets were working on this one. so I put in my .mac info and synced the.mac dashboard to that one. then logged into mine and synced it there.

bam.

widgets have returned.

I'm having the same problem with a missing dashboard/ widgets but don't have .Mac to sync with. Any other ideas? I've tried adding new widgets, creating new ones... nothing.

sounds like your problem may be a little different, as I'm almost positive mine was cause by .mac.

have you gone through all the generic deleting preference files and rebooting and repairing permissions?
