View Full Version : how do you delete a partition in leopard?

Hi guys, ive never been a big user of disk utility, i know you can resize and delete partitions in leopard now. I have an unused extended partition on my boot disk, how do i now delete it with the new disk utility and retrieve the space? i couldnt find it in help or support site :S, thanks

i think it is through boot camp, but don't quote me on that.:apple:

no such luck bootcamp just says it can only work with a single partition, or merge a windows partition, but not an hfs. :( i assume its done with the restore function but not exactly sure how

select the partition in disk utility and hit the minus button

don you mean the minus button under the raid tab? thats the only minus i can see but this isn't a raid setup?

ah, stoopid me, selecting the partition, not the drive, doh, worked a treat, thanks
